Your Turn: We Need Coupon Help

My friend Lisa had a great idea for me and as I’m a team player (and think this may take a bundle of time!!!) I’m enlisting your help!

It’d be great to make a list of companies to email or mail to request high-value coupons from. I am guessing that there are a lot that want to “throw a customer a bone” if they take the time to write.
Lisa would be most interested in the repeat stuff she buys: diapers, some food products, toiletries.

Would anyone like to join her in emailing/contacting? We could then make a big database full of this stuff. For now, please leave a comment below telling us who you’ll contact.

I like to send an E-mail to companies when I have a sincere compliment or complaint about one of their products. Here are a few I have contacted in the past year and the response I received:
*Scrubbing Bubbles (complaint) free product coupon
*McCormick Grill Mates (compliment) cents off coupons
*Magic Erasers (compliment) Nice E-mail response
    *SpotShot (compliment) cents off coupons
    *Purex (compliment) cents off coupons
*V8 Fusion (compliment) cents off coupons
    *Blistex (compliment) 4 free products!
    *Smucker's (question) no response
*Pillsbury pie crust (complaint) no response
    I hope that helps!

  2. I don't email requesting coupons but I do let companies know what I think about their product. I probably get coupons back from about 1/4 to 1/3 of the companies I write to. Some examples of responses I've gotten were a free (up to $17) coupon for Aleve, 2 free (up to $4) coupons plus lots of $1/1 from Purex, 2 free coupons plus some others from Tofutti, 4 $.50/1 from Contadina (doubled at my store for free tomato paste), free samples plus 2 free and 2 bogo from popchips (yummy)! I try to take time once a week or so during a tv show or something to just write to companies and I've got lots of positive feedback. Just let them know what you really think – positive or negative!

  3. CouponingtoDisney does something similar to this, it's called five-a-day. She posts 5 companies a day for you to email! I would love some high value diapers coupons….but I wonder if Huggies/Pampers actually sends them out!? This is a great idea!

This is where I go when I have a few minutes and want to write some companies for coupons.

I make time once a week to "cold" call 5 companies. I go through my cabinets and pull out 5 products get the phone number off the product and request coupons. Most companies send me coupons within a week while others direct me to their website for coupons. It probably takes 10 minutes … totally worth it
