As a member of the Sprout Band of Bloggers I get to try some pretty cool things. As a Mum who’s not afraid to let Isaac watch a little tv but wants it to be educational, Sprout and I are a great fit!! So when I heard of the new DVD: Lend a Helping Hand that’s now available I was excited to take a look. As was my friend Lynda who has two kids ages 2 and 5 and wanted to help out with our review.
Now HIT Entertainment is partnering with Sprout to launch a new DVD line for preschoolers and their parents called “Let’s Grow.” The series focuses on life skills and lessons for preschoolers. Episodes from HIT Entertainment’s library of programs including Barney™, Bob the Builder™, Thomas & Friends™ and many more will explore topics like feelings, manners and safety. The Sunny Side Up Show hosts along with Chica the Chicken introduce the episodes, make crafts and play educational games themed to each topic.
On this DVD, Sprout compiled a number of shows which all encourage helping and cleaning. I was impressed to see that my 2 year old as well as my 5 year old enjoyed the programs. My 2 year old had fun singing along to Barney and Thomas. It’s about an hour long, and it kept their attention the entire time, which is always a plus. I recommend this dvd for pre-school kids of different ages.
I blog with integrity: I wasn’t paid for this review but I was given a DVD and am giving one away to one of my readers.
