Fruit Recipe – Watermelon Pops

I don’t know about you but my kids love the Banana Pops I made them a few months ago.  In fact my freezer now al;ways has some in and now even Chase (18 months) will say “pop, pop” when he wants one! A-dorable!  Anyhoo, I digress…..I wanted to make another healthy snack for kids that was an alternative to popsicles for all the 100 degree weather we’ve been having and my friend Trish suggested these.  She’s pretty crafty so I was interested to see how easy they were.  Urm, crazy easy PLUS they help you use up the watermelon.  Ya know, the one you get for crazy cheap and then don’t know what to do with it??!  So without further ado (because I’ve now written a paragrpah of “ado”) here are Watermelon Pops.

Cut up your watermelon into triangles.

Cut a small slit in each with a knife.

Push a popsicle stick into each watermelon triangle and then freeze on a tray.  Once frozen remove and place in a freezer ziploc and place back in the freezer.  Next time someone yells for a popsicle give them one of these!

Chase-approved “pop, pops”.
