Veteran’s Day Free Items and Discounts for 11/11/10

To all who’ve served in the military both at home and around the world, I want to salute you. Thank you for the chance to live in a country where I know I’m free. Thank you for serving, you’ve truly blessed many of us.

If that’s you, I hope you can use some of the offers below of free things or discounts for tomorrow, your special day. Please call your local restaurant to ensure participation. Click on the links for more info, I’ve personally checked all these out.

Applebee’s Restaurant – Free dinners to veterans throughout Veterans Day November 11th; selections will be from a new Veterans Day menu.

Outback Steakhouse – Free Blooming Onion and beverage on 11/11/10.

Golden Corral – Free buffet dinner from 5-9 p.m. on Nov. 15 to anyone who has ever served in the U.S. military Staff.

Sam’s Club® locations nationwide will distribute 36,000 Hugo® canes free of charge on November 10th, 11th and 12th, 2010 to U.S. military veterans in need of mobility assistance. Limited quantities available only while supplies last. Sam’s Club® Membership is not required. Proof of military service may be required. Canes provided by Hugo®.

Select Subway locations are showing thanks with free six inch subs to all Veterans or Active Duty members.

Chili’s is offering your choice of one of 6 entrees for military personel on 11/11/10

Select Krispy locations- One free doughnut of any variety on 11/11/10

UNO Chicago Grill – Free entree or individual pizza with an entree or pizza purchase of equal or greater value on 11/11/10

Last year Cabela’s Outdoor Store – Offered their employee discount to all veterans, active-duty military and reserves, law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel Nov. 11-12. Discounts vary from 5% to 50%, depending on the item. please call ahead to check your store’s participation.

The gentleman opposite us is a veteran. In fact, he was a POW. I can’t imagine what he went through and even though we don’t see him much throughout the year we like to send him a card on Veteran’s Day. Thanks for serving!
