Turkeys Turkeys!!

This is the time of year to get GREAT deals on turkeys and even if you’re not hosting Thanksgiving, I suggest buying a turkey (or two!) and cooking up some meals. You can either freeze them for later or eat now but this is too good a deal to miss! I really didn’t need groceries this week and was not going to go….except Ultra had the sweet pots on crazy sale and I thought I’d get a turkey to cook up.

A word to the wise – most stores require a minimum purchase to get the good deals so think about what you need as apposed to impulse buying because if you do that, it’s not really a great deal!! (I’ve learned the hard way!!)

Here are where I’ve seen great deals so far:

Ultra: Norbest $.68/LB with $25 purchase. Limit 1.
BREAKING NEWS! This just in………$6 coupon off Norbest frozen turkey with an additional $50 purchase…it averages 36 cents lb. with the coupon (based on 14 lb. average at 78cents a lb.) It was in the Times and is good Nov 21-27. If you need that many groceries and would like a cheap turkey, you may wanna grab today’s paper! The money you save will be worth it!

GFS: $.59/LB with $15

Strack & Van Til’s: Butterball $.99/LB with $25 purchase. Limit 1

Aldi: Butterball $.99/LB. No minimum purchase and no limit that I can see.

If I’ve missed any, please let me know. Jewel usually has good deals but I haven’t spotted them yet!

If you’re wondering what to do with all that turkey, next week Mama B is gonna share some leftover recipes!

  1. Tried to get Ultras turkey..you can use the coupon, or get it for 78cents a pound, not both..the ad was quite misleading
