"The Clair Challenge!"

Here is a guest post from one of my close friends, Rebecca:

I decided to take the Clair Challenge! The other day, I was reading her blog and found it hard to believe that she only spends $50 a week in groceries. I thought to myself, there is no way that I can do that. I don’t have an Ultra foods by me, but I do have a nice Aldi that they recently built in Frankfort.
I do usually shop at Aldi, but not for that much stuff. So, I decided to go all out and make it my number one store. The Duggars do on TV – the family on TLC that have 17 kids! I still go to a store by me to get some meat for the week, but I buy most of everything now at Aldi.
This is my second week of the Clair Challenge and I’ve kept my bill right around $50. Yesterday, I went for the week and here is a picture of what I got. My total came to $54 and some cents. Every time you check out at Aldi, you think your bill is going to be double what it is. I even got bread for 50 cents a loaf yesterday. It was buy one get one free!
Needless to say, my husband is very happy with me and we are still eating healthy fruits and veggies too!

If you would like to take “The Clair Challenge” please email me your story with a picture. You can pick any store but the goal is $50!

  1. Good for you, I used to shop at Aldi. There isn’t one by me now. I am working on getting better at coupons at the grocery store. I’m good at it w/ CVS/Walgreens but still working on the groceries!

I use Meijer the most. Maybe I will try this out for November. I did get better this month with coupons, so hoping even better for November!
