The Best Advent Book For Preschoolers

Truth in the Tinsel

While in New York last year I got to meet my fellow Operation Christmas Child bloggers, one of whom I’ve been waiting to meet for a while. Amanda White writes at Impress Your Kids which has some awesome craft ideas and fun things for Moms. She told me she was launching an ebook for advent and my ears perked up:

“I just feel like some people want to teach their pre-schoolers about advent but don’t know where to start with crafts and easy stories, ya know?”

Ummmm, yeah! Did I ever know! I’ve wanted to teach Isaac all about Christmas and why we celebrate and the fact that we sing Happy Birthday Jesus but I just don’t know how.

“I just love crafting with my kids and the book is organic, all about things we already do.” She explained.

Oh my goodness! Sign me up! I was so excited to check out this ebook that two days later when she sent me a copy I was giddy. 48 pages full of perfect ideas of what to do all with illustrations, lists of craft items you’d need and scriptures for each day. Her book is called The Truth In The Tinsel and let’s face it the name alone makes me want to grab a copy. The other awesome thing is that because it’s an ebook it’s cheaper, just $7.99 to be exact.

For full disclosure I did receive a copy of this book but seriously (and don’t tell Amanda ;) ) I was going to buy it anyway. If there’s a tool that can help me teach my 4 1/2 year old all about the real meaning of Christmas that only costs $7.99 I want it and you probably do too! You can buy a copy here and I’d love to hear stories of what your fave craft was.
