Spruce Up Your House for Less: Reusing, Recycling, Repurposing

SUYHFL

They say one man’s trash is another man’s treasure and my house is full of others treasures that I found and re-purposed. From garage sale pieces like my dining room table to a bathroom shelf that was garbage picked and yet looks like it came from bed, Bath & Beyond, we’ve hit the jackpot for one reason: I’m creative.

I love the idea of recycling and love being frugal and with a little creativity you can turn someone else’s junk into your treasure. Think:

  • Sand and stain when it comes to old furniture.
  • Paint is a great way to spruce up an outdated piece of wood.
  • Slip covers are a great way to cover an old couch.
  • With a little know how you can grab old pieces and after a little sawing and nailing make something brand new.
