So the rumors about a new program coming to Walgreens are true. It looks like they’re leaning towards a loyalty card. I’ve got the scoop here.

I've recently gotten into the whole 'coupon' thing. I'm really disappointed that my local Walgreens will not issue RR if you use them in your purchase. They only allow as many coupons as items…so I can't buy one item with a coupon and pay for it with a RR!!

I work for Walgreen's, and I know as dissappointing as it seems that we only allow as many coupons as items there is a reason. Many customers do not realize that the RR's are actually manufacturer coupons that are paid for by the manufacturer of the products. You can only use one manufacturer coupon per item, so that is why you can't use both. Maybe they will come up with a different system in the future, but right now since we are in between the EasySaver program and future programs, this is what we have to stick to. As a retail manager, I know there are several cashiers in many stores that are not coupon friendly. But remember, there are some of us out there that are very understanding and we really do want to help you get the best deal possible. Thanks.
