Smartfood Popcorn Review + Giveaway

There are moments when I wake up from my summer fog long enough to think about blogging…..but only if something gets my attention! Last week a huge box arrived and my kids ripped into it quickly to discover some Smartfood Popcorn staring at them. They’re both popcorn lovers and demanded asked that I allow some snacking. As we’re trying to eat more naturally I took a look at the ingredients and it passed the Mama test!

Frito Lay has a line of snacks including popcorn, puffed corn and popped chip varieties with no artificial colors or flavors and last year launched Smartfood Selects, which boast flavor combinations of real herbs and spices. The boys tried the Buffalo Chicken and deemed it a little too spicy but they loved the reduced fat white cheddar especially as it came in kid size bags.

Last month the Smartfood brand and SELF magazine named the top-10 SMARTest cities in America. In coming up with the list, the brand looked at five criteria to align with the goal of living and eating well. Each letter stands for a specific area of focus: Savvy, Motivated, Accomplished, Responsible and Thoughtful.

Based on these criteria, Smartfood’s Top 10 SMARTest Cities are:

  5. Minneapolis

  7. Denver

Sadly my sweet home Chicago didn’t make the cut :(
