Looking for a crock pot pork recipe? A reader sent me this recipe for Crock Pot Pork Chops and it’s ridiculously simple. In fact it’s become one of the most pinned items around here because of its simplicity so I wanted to try it on my family and the result was amazing!

Sometimes referred to as Amish Pork Chops or even Smothered Pork Chops I’m not going to lie the thought of combining ketchup and mushroom soup didn’t thrill me!  But I decided to give it a whirl because it was so easy!

I don’t keep mushroom soup on hand because most of them contain nasty stuff like MSG and high amounts of sodium so instead I did whip up some homemade mushroom soup using my friend’s recipe on A Farmer’s Wife Rambles.  But grabbing a can of organic mushroom soup would be easier!  Then I took my Trader Joe’s Organic Ketchup and some pork chops.  Yup….that’s it folks!

The result was juicy pork chop that just melted as you ate them.  I served mine over some gluten free spaghetti for an easy meal!

Crock Pot Pork Chops

  • 6 bone-in pork chops
  • 1.5 cup of mushroom soup (or 1 can)
  • 1 cup of all natural ketchup

  1. Spray your slow cooker.
  2. Add a small amount of coconut oil to a skillet and Brown the pork chops for about 3 minutes per side. Add them to the slow cooker.
  3. Pour the sauces over the top.
  4. Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6-7
  5. Serve over noodles, potatoes or rice.

If you’ve got a crock pot recipe I’d love to share it with my readers so email me mummydeals at yahoo. Thanks Chris!

About Slow Cooker Mondays

Every Monday I come up with a slow cooker recipe. Check out the archives or see my Pinterest pins!

  1. Could you also use chicken instead of pork chops???

    • I have not tried it with chicken Tori but I don’t see why not. I often switch the two in recipes. I would love to hear it turns out if you do try this recipe with chicken!

  2. I’m a new stay at home dad, and can’t say that I’m the sharpest tool in the shed, so when you say mix the soup, do you mean to add water as if you were preparing it by the instructions?

  3. SkippyMom says:

That is a heckuva’ lot of work to do before putting it in a slow cooker for 4 or 2.5 hours. I use my slow cooker so I can throw it all in and walk a way to go to work, clean house, get shopping done, etc. Any of those things combined uses more than 4 hours – and even with a timer on my slow cooker to start 4 hours before I came home I don’t think I would be comfortable leaving browned/but raw pork on the counter throughout the day.
I would think this would be just as easy to keep in the pan on the stove and let it simmer until it’s done. I am sure it would be just as delicious as it is a gorgeous recipe.

    • I hear what you’re saying! Sometimes though I need to add stuff into the crockpot and leave the house. For that reason I like recipes like this as I wouldn’t turn my oven on. 🙂

  4. I followed a link from Pinterest of a delectable looking pork chop with some sauce that said Chris’ Pork Chops on it. Got to this page and there is a recipe for an entirely different version of pork chops. Lower down that same enticing picture is shown, but for the life of me I can’t find a recipe for it! Can you please help me?

    • Hey Christy, The picture is one I used but the recipe is the 3 ingredient one (confusing I know sorry!) It’s yummy! The one in the picture is the one further down that I made called Smothered Pork Chops. Takes some work but delish! Hope that helps!

  5. I’m very picky about my pork chops because I do not like them unless they are prepared correctly. These look fabulous! Can’t wait to try the recipe! Thanks for linking up with Delicious Dishes Recipe Party!

  6. I kept looking for the Ruth Chris’ pork chops but never found the recipe…… Am I over looking it…?

  7. These were so easy to make. Made them tonight for a bunch of picky children and they loved the sauce. Will be making this again and again.

  8. Do you mix together the soup and catsup before poring over the pork chops or just pour over separately?
