Slow Cooker Lemon Thyme Chicken

Slow Cooker Lemon Thyme Chicken

One month my Young Living oils were on promotion and I knew I was getting the oil of thyme so I decided to try a new recipe using it. I love cooking with oils as it’s nutritious and flavorful so I checked for thyme recipes and decided to make Slow Cooker lemon thyme chicken.

It’s an easy and flavorful one that is now high in calories, paleo and gluten free. Pair it with a nice vegetable or two and you’ve got yourself an easy healthy meal on a busy weeknight! Winner winner chicken dinner as my kids always say!

Slow Cooker Lemon Thyme Chicken

  • 1.5LB skinless, boneless chicken breasts. I cut mine into filets.
  • 10 garlic cloves, diced
  • 3 drops of Young Living lemon oil or 3 lemon slices
  • 1 cup all natural chicken broth
  • 2 drops of Young Living Thyme oil OR 1 TBS dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt, or more to taste

  1. Spray the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. Place half of the lemons and garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker or if you're using oil hold off!
  3. Make a seasoning with the 2 oils and salt and spread all over the chicken and then place in the pot.
  4. Cover chicken with remaining garlic, and pour broth over everything.
  5. Cover and cook on low about 4-6 hours.
  6. You can even use the liquid over the top of the chicken as a sauce.

Anyone else use oils while cooking?
