Skinny Superbowl Snack

Skinny Superbowl Snack

Skinny Superbowl Snack is kind of any oxymoron right but when I made these bacon wrapped chestnuts with regular bacon I had to skinny them up. My friend Jen introduced me to full fat bacon wrapped chestnuts years ago as an appetizer and I’ve been hooked ever since. Whenever I bring these somewhere they disappear…quickly.

These bacon chestnuts are made using Aldi’s turkey bacon. Using the Weight Watchers PointPlus system you can have 2 pieces of turkey bacon for one point as each piece is just 30 calories and the water chestnuts are zero points. Honestly, some people put bbq goop all over these and personally I think it wrecks them so here’s my bacon water chestnuts…..all skinnied up!

Thinking of doing Weight Watchers? They’ve got a HOT deal during January:

  1. What a great idea! I’ve picked up Butterball Turkey bacon for less than $1 at Walgreens, but my family doesn’t like it very much. But, they never turn their noses up at a snacky item.
