Simplify: 7 Steps to Simplicity – 2 Minute Pickup Rule

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by all that cleanup and just don’t know where to start? If so, then this easy rule is for you. Rule 7: If a job takes 2 minutes or less to do, then do it!

If you’re like me and run out of the door to things, then it’s hard to take two minutes but once you’re at home there’s no excuse. Can’t be bothered to hang up your coat? Don’t want to put away the bowls from breakfast? Those things take less than 2 minutes each and yet when added up at the end of the day feel overwhelming so be kind to yourself and if a task needs to be done, just do it. You’ll thank me later!!

Homework: Stop procrastinating on the 2 minute things and get to it. Instead of letting it all mount up, just quick take a minute or two to put things away. When you move dishes off counters you’ll have more incentive to clean. When the toys are gone, the vacuum may come out;>)
