So much so that Hubs love these Scotcharoos I made in the shape of footballs and each year he loves my labor of love in the form of these Wreath Cookies. I call it a labor of love as it usually ends up sticking all over my hands and it’s a pain to mkae unless………….wait for it………….you rub butter on your hands before mixing. Yuck I know but it works. Anyhoo, here’s the easy peasy lemon squeezy recipe for Rice Krispies Wreath Cookies.

  • Bag of marshmallows
  • 5 cups of rice krispies
  • 1 stick of butter (+ some for hands)
  • Green food coloring
  • Small red candies like cinnamon hots.

  1. Microwave the butter and marshmallows on high for about 90 seconds until fully mixed and smooth.
  2. Add coloring until it;s really bright green. The rice krispies take the color away so the greener the better!
  3. Stir in rice krispies one cup at a time until mixed. We used around 5 cups.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Put a small amount of butter on your hands so it won't stick.
  6. Take small amount of mixture and shape into a circle. place on wax paper.
  7. Make a hole in the middle of it.
  8. Add red hots like a wreath.
  9. Enjoy!

  1. This was a great idea! I made them as Christmas gifts this year and they were a hit!
