No Nasty Chemicals Contest

Although I’m frugal, I’m well aware that the debate is raging over the green issue. More and more people are prioritizing healthier, safer, less toxic ways to live and I agree it’s necessary to look at the way we live now compared to in the past. If we don’t stop destroying our environment, what will the world look like when our kids, grandkids grow up? It’s a hard one though to reconcile – how to be frugal and still be kind to the environment. How to keep your most precious gift safe from nasty chemicals. Well, I recently found out about a company that is doing just that and yet is still reasonably priced for eco-friendly products.

As a Meijer advocate, I had the chance to try out this great new product that is being launched in all Meijer stores this week. ecostore was founded in New Zealand 15 years ago and is making it’s debut in the US here and in Meijer. I tried the laundry detergent and household cleaner and was impressed that although neither contain any of the typical ingredients that make up household cleaners, that they both cleaned efficiently, proving again that we don’t need all the junk we’re using. What I was super excited to try though was the Nappy Balm. In case you need translation, that’s diaper rash cream! I was so happy to see the English word that I got a little giddy about trying it! I used it on my munchkin for a day and was surprised at the results – not only was his diaper rash gone but his little botty was a lot softer!!! Yup, Mummy likes this butt cream!!!!
They’ve also got some pretty cool toxin free shampoo, baby soap and this great aromotherapy baby bubble bath that helps them sleep better at night and smells amazzzzing!
ecostore USA knows that it can be expensive to buy natural or organic products, but have found a way around this by safely super-concentrating each formulation. This means that a little really does go a long, long way. The result is saving money by significantly cutting down on cost per use.

The generous folks over at ecostore are giving one of my readers the chance to win a $25 e-certificate for their site to coincide with the launch so you can try it for yourself. Here’s what you need to do to enter:

1) To enter any contest you must be a registered subscriber to the Mummy Deals newsletter.
2) To enter this contest, head over to their website here and then come back here and leave a comment in the section – “What would you spend the $25 on?
3) Want more ways to win? Blog about the contest on your site and lemme know.

Contest closes on Sunday March 1st at midnight and the winner will be picked randomly (by random.org) and announced on Monday March 2nd. Don’t forget to leave a way for me to contact you!

  3. OK, I can’t find on their website where to post the comment at?? But,I will post here and check back to put on their website.
Eco and chemical free are very important to my family. We have been chemical free inside our home for about a year now. My son has special needs, and doing some research, I discovered how the toxic chemicals in our cleaning products affect children. Did you know that an hour after getting dressed…if you take a blood sample they can tell what laundry soap that you use by the chemicals absorbed into your body?? That is just the begining…I could go on. Right now, if I were to win the $25 I would spend it on the laundry soap, fabric softner, or dish soap, becasue that is what I am running low on with the current(very expensive) brand that I am using.
    Thanks, Nicole

  19. Oh, wow! The choices! Like Nicole, I had a little trouble finding where to sign up, too, but I found it! I think I would go for some of the household cleaners. I’ve heard citrus cleaners are the best and, apparently, they are because some of the big name brand companies are going green with citrus cleaners now. And I love the smell of citrus! Thanks for bringing us all these great choices.
