This post brought to you by Boar’s Head. All opinions are 100% mine.
This week I had the opportunity to try Boar's Head heart-healthy deli meats and after a little searching I found them at a local butcher's shop. I tried the Ovengold® Roasted Breast of Turkey and the Oven Roasted Chicken breast.Don
Don't judge but as I was driving home int he car I snacked on them in the car as I needed a protein boost and yum-o were both of them good. It's hard to choose which I preferred but as I'm more of a chicken kinda gal, that was delicious.
My family and I have been eating mostly unprocessed food for weeks now after feeling like it's the best thing to do and one area that's hard to find unprocssed options for is deli meat. I mean, have you turned over a deli meat package recently and tried to read all the ingredients? YAK-O which is what attracted me to Boar's Head. To me it's not about dieting, it's about living and living healthier which is why deli meat with no extra fillings, water added or other nasty ingredients gets my vote. What I wasn't as keen on was the cost. Although it's a great heart healthy option, it's quite pricey for meat but as part of their marketing campaign says, "Compromise elsewhere!"
As I'm always looking for new recipes for our family and for my Pinterest Recipe Swap board, this Ovengold® Turkey Spaghetti Squash Tumble caught my attention as it may be a way to get Hubs to try Squash! See more of their recipes on Pinterest.
Boar's Head definitely gets my vote for heart-healthy deli meats!
