Museum of Science and Industry FREE Days For 2011


The Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago offers 52 free days each year; general admission is free on the following days in 2011:

  • Jan. 3 – 7
  • Jan. 10 – 14
  • Jan. 17 – 21
  • Jan. 24 – 28 and 31
  • Feb. 1, 8, 14, 15 and 22
  • June 1, 2, 6, 7, 8 and 9
  • Sept. 6 – 9
  • Sept. 12 – 16
  • Sept. 19 – 23
  • Sept. 26 – 30
  • Oct. 31.

Regular Museum of Science and Industry Chicago hours are Monday through Sunday 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The Museum offers extended hours, until 5:30 p.m., on the following days: Jan. 1 and 2; March 26 – 31; April 1 – 24; May 27, 28 – 31; Sept. 1 – 5; Nov. 18 – 20 and 25 – 27; and Dec. 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 – 24 and 26 – 31. Please note: the Museum offers extended summer hours, 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., every day in June, July and August. The Museum is closed on Dec. 25 (Christmas day).

General admission is $15 for adults, $14 for seniors and $10 for children ages 3-11; City of Chicago residents receive a discount. The Museum is open every day of the year except December 25 (Christmas Day).
