Mummy Hearts Walgreens!

Walgreens has been good to me over the years. No, scratch that, Walgreens has been GREAT! Today I realized that the Pro-Health Mouthwash 500ml was $4.49 with $4.50 back in Register Rewards AND it didn’t specify one per customer. So I ran to 4 Walgreens (on my way to somewhere else!!) and bought a bunch. I was so pumped and then I came home, checked my email and just about fell off my chair!!! Tomorrow there is another $10/$40 coupon!!!! valid through Saturday. I mean, could they get any better this week? They are literally giving things away left, right and centre.
So, seeing as I have all these register rewards here is what I’m going to buy tomorrow:

Transaction 1:
Crest Pro-Health mouthwash $4.49
6 x South Beach bars $15
Toilet paper x 3 $27 (no coupons but we’re really low and it’s pretty much free!)
Robitussin x 3 $11.97

TOTAL – $58.47
Minus – $4 South Beach here. Click back on your browser and it will let you do 2.
– $9 Robitussin here.
(UPDATE – Tina just told me these are no longer available but I think you can still get $1 off??)
– $10/$40

NEW TOTAL 35.46.
I will get $5 back for buying the South Beach bars when I mail in for rebate in Easy Saver Catalog. I will also get back $4.50 from ProHealth Register Rewards and $10 from Robittusin RR. REMEMBER – Never use Register Rewards IF you’ll get back RRs. If you use an RR to pay they won’t give you one back!

FINAL TOTAL – $15.96!!!

Transaction 2
4 x Walgreens formula on sale BOGO50% off
TOTAL – $41.96
Minus – $10/$40

NEW TOTAL – $31.96.
Yahoo, that’s only $7.99 for one!!!
For the newbies out there: I would highly recommend checking out my Walgreens 411 to see how to do all this. If you haven’t yet bought your Free After Rebate stuff, tomorrow would be the day to do it. Here’s what I did last time they had the $10/$40:
  • 16.9 oz Nivea Men’s Body Wash $4.99.
  • 1 oz L’Oreal Revitalift Antiwrinkle Concentrate $16.49. Go here to print a coupon for $1 off.
  • 4.2 oz Crest Prohealth Toothpaste $3.79
  • 12 oz Chemistry Haircare $7.99
  • 1 oz LypSyl LypMoisturizer $1.99
  • Revlon nail color or nail care $4.79
  • Walgreens acid controlling chewables (25 count) $7.99
  • Walgreens pitcher filter cartridges $6.99
  • Excedrin $3.99

TOTAL = $59.01
Minus $10/$40
Minus $1 in coupons above

NEW TOTAL= $48.01 BUT you will get back $59.01 + 10% if you check to receive the gift card. That’s a profit of around $16.90!

REMEMBER – The $10/$40 has to be after manufacturer’s coupons!

OH yeah, Mummy luvs WAGS 4EVA!!!!!!!

Don’t forget to check out my Lisa’s site where she’s got her Mary Kay stuff for really cheap. More details here.

Comments

  1. FYI I tried to print Robitussin $3 coupon and it's not there anymore:>(

  2. Boohoo, sorry Tina! I hate that! Well it will still be free, just not a moneymaker! A lesson to us all – jump on the coupons quick and print extras for a moment like this!

  3. hey, you could still have a decent momey maker if you buy the Dimetapp for $3.99-buy 3 just like the Robitussen, use your link for the Alevert coupon and it will get you to a $2 Dimetapp coupon, print A BUNCH and you’re back to earning a few $$’s once you get the $10 RR. Hopefully I’ve made sense.

  4. I’m pretty positive that you just can’t use a RR from the same deal and expect to get one again. For example, if you had a RR from last week (for the Crest Pro Health, say), you could apply it to the Robitussin deal and still get the $10 RR. You just couldn’t use the $10 RR you just made to try and do the Robitussin deal again – you wouldn’t get another RR. Hope that makes sense!
