Gathering deals for the Grocery Gathering.

  1. I could be wrong about this – I haven’t tried it yet, going to Ultra tomorrow – but I *think* you cannot use any other coupons for the Ultra Quaker deal – they are not on sale 5/$5, they are on sale 5/$8 and the coupon in the flyer states it’s a Manufacturer’s coupon. Which is unusual, usually it’s a store coupon, but this one clearly says MC. So, I think that you can’t use other MC’s on top of it.
If you have more than $3 in Quaker coupons (which I do actually!) you’d be better off using those than the flyer coupon.

  2. DESJ and Company says:

Where in Chicago are these stores?
I’ve neve rhear dof any of them!

  3. I went to Ultra today and you couldn’t use any other coupons with the 5/$5 Quaker deal. What a bummer!

  4. I just got back from Ultra with my Hubby, and we used both the $3 ultra coupon (to make it 5/$5) and manufacturer’s coupons, which I scanned first at the self-checkout. I had four coupons for the Simple Harvest oatmeal for $1 each, so those were all free, and I had several other cereal coupons, so most items ended up being 50 cents or even 30 cents. Whoo Hoo! My biggest problem is where to store it all–My stockpile bin is overflowing!

  5. Des – You can find Ultra and Strack’s in NWI or South Chicago. Here;s the Ultra website to try and track one down by you – http://www.ultra-foods.com/Shop/WeeklyAd.aspx and Strack’s – http://www.strackandvantil.com/
