Jewel-Osco Double Coupons Through 2/1/12

This weekend something unheard happened in Chicagoland: A Doubler coupons in the Jewel ad with your Chicago Tribune! For real. Finally! Sadly though it’s only good for 4 days through February 1, 2012 plus not all copies of the Chicago Tribune got the “special ad”. Stink. Anyhoo there are 5 store coupons in the ad and each one will double the value of the manufacturer’s coupon up to $1. So if you’ve got a great high value one for $1 you can get $2 off. Limit 5 doubled coupons per customer, per day.  Here are some scenarios.

  1. I haven’t dealt much with doubling coupons. Could you tell me if a coupon is for $1.00/2 of something, when doubled does that become $2.00/2 or $2.00/4? It seems to make sense if it were $2.00/4. I tried to figure it out using your math and that seems like what you did. I just want to verify. Also, for the tuna deal, how many Jewel double coupons would you need for that deal? Because the MQ is for 2 items. The Wonka deal would obviously only take one unless you were buying more than one. I think I’m thinking too hard. lol Thanks!
