Italian Meatballs + A Red Gold Giveaway

Italian Meatballs

We love Swedish Meatballs so when I got some Red Gold Diced Tomatoes with Basil, Garlic and Oregano to try, I figured I’d adapt their turkey burger recipe and make Italian Meatballs instead and they were good. You may know by now that I love having homemade meatballs on hand in the freezer for lazy days when I don’t want to cook or go through a drive through. These are certainly great for that and are easy to make a huge batch and freeze. This makes enough for 4 people. Serve with spaghetti, in a sub sandwich or just with vegetables.

Italian Meatballs

  • 1 pound of ground turkey
  • 14.5oz Red Gold diced tomatoes with basil, garlic and oregano
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup of Panko bread crumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 350.
  2. Combine the ingredients together in a bowl.
  3. Form into meatballs and place on a cookie sheet.
  4. Bake for about 20-30 minutes until done in the center.
  5. If you're freezing allow to cool and then place in a Ziploc bag.
