How To Make a Coupon Organizer

My friend Angela came up with a crafty way to hold her coupons.  A great way to organize your coupons by categories and not take up too much room in your purse is this coupon organizer that is functional as well as fun!

The accordion coupon holders are just too big and difficult to keep in your purse so this one is thinner.

Although you may have a bigger binder at home, this is a great coupon organizer for the store.

Instructions

Photo Envelope

Start with a Photo Envelope. It is large enough to hold 4×6 photos. Perfect for holding 4×6 index cards that will be the dividers. I tucked the flap in the envelope to give extra support and so it wouldn’t be in the way.

4×6 Index Cards

Then use 4×6 index cards (or cut paper into 4×6) for as many dividers you want to separate your coupons into categories.

Tabs

Then I had some punch out embellishments I bought at Big Lots a while ago. On the back it had a bunch of tabs. So I used those for the tabs on my dividers. If you don’t have any and want to save money just cut rectangles and fold them in half. Adhere them to stick up on the top and you have homemade tabs.

Pattern Paper

I covered the outside of the envelope with a thick pattern paper to decorate it but also to make it pretty and on the front I even folded it down about 1″ so make it stronger. It was a double sided pattern paper.

Adhesive

Use your favorite adhesive to glue everything together. Angela used her ATG gun.

Ribbon

I tied ribbon around it to help hold it all together and it also dresses it up. I didn’t put a bunch of embellishments on the outside because they would just get messed up in my purse.

Voila, a functional Coupon Organizer! Thanks Angela, visit her blog SCPapercrafts for more great craft ideas and visit my craft section here for other easy ideas.
