Homemade Taco Seasoning

Homemade Taco Mix

Homemade taco seasoning is pure spices blended together to create homemade taco mix that you can use in Mexican cooking. I’ve been trying hard to cut down on processed things recently and mixes are one thing I can’t control. The amount of MSG or other junk in these small packages is crazy and I knew that creating my own meant no junk and a cheaper taco mix so gather all these spices and whip up your own. I also think it would make a super cute gift in a mason jar.

Homemade Taco Seasoning Ingredients

  1. 1 cup of minced dried onion
  2. 1/2 cup of chili powder (1/4 cup for mild taco seasoning)
  3. 1/4 cup of garlic powder
  4. 1/4 cup of cumin
  5. 2 TBS oregano
  6. 2 TBS salt
  • Add to a mini chopper/blender and process for about 30 seconds.
  • Add to a jar with the note 2-3 TBS to 1 pound of meat.
