How to make Homemade Chili Seasoning
Love chili recipes but not the highly processed chili seasonings? In an effort to really watch what i feed my family I decided to make some homemade chili seasoning from…..just spices. No added MSG, no funny names or preservatives I can’t pronounce just spices. I wanted to share the homemade Chili Seasonings recipe ready for the Big Game weekend. If you’re thinking Superbowl and chili go hand in hand, then check out this easy recipe.
Homemade Chili Seasoning Ingredients
3/4 Cup dried onion
3 T red chili powder
2 T salt
1 T paprika
1 T garlic
1 T sugar
1 T cumin
Simply blend together and place in a container. I washed out an old pickle jar and placed in there with a label.
The next time you use chili use 1-2 teaspoons of the mix to one pound of meat.
Chili Seasoning Notes
- I have a verrrrrrrrrrrrry mild palate and can’t handle a lot so don’t judge by me if you like it spicy but to me this is more Medium hot.
- Try with 1-2 teaspoons to begin with and add more as necessary for your family and amount of meat you’re using.
- This recipe is approximately enough for 6 pounds of meat.
