Homemade Camp Spray Recipe

Homemade-Camp-Spray-Recipe

So you’re heading into the great outdoors and need a non toxic recipe that you can spray on your little ones to keep them protected?  I used this Homemade Camp Spray Recipe one summer and loved it! I sprayed it on my kids knowing that it wasn’t full of junk and yet it still worked.  In fact it worked super awesome partly because of the Purification Essential Oil in there.

Camp Spray

What is Purification Oil good for?

From the Young Living website:

Purification® Essential Oil Blend helps freshen the air and eliminate odors with its unique combination of Citronella, Lemongrass, Lavandin, Rosemary, Tea Tree, and Myrtle essential oils, and includes naturally occurring compounds cineol, neral, and geranial. Add Purification oil to Animal Scents™ products to moisturize skin and improve the appearance for healthy looking skin or apply topically to enjoy the outdoors annoyance free.

Healthy Skin

Using Young Living Essential Oils you can make an inexpensive spray that’s all natural and really works and has no nasty toxins. It’s been deep woods tested and here’s what Amee had to say:

“My family and I spent a week in the woods of Tennessee. We hiked through all kind of brush and spent a lot of time outdoors.  I read about this recipe on a blog and eagerly decided to give it a try. It’s amazing! We sprayed ourselves at the beginning of the day and then reapplied around lunch time.”

  9. Love this! I was just sitting outside itching and smacking bugs off because the citronella candles were not working! I’m going to try this tomorrow night.
Just wondering, have you tried it in a diffuser? I might set my YL diffuser up on the patio table and see if it’s as effective. I’m going camping next weekend and will definitely be using this instead of bug spray on the kids!
