Help Replenish Local Food Pantries With FREE Toiletries!

The Staff Association of the Lake County Public Library is sponsoring a “Trick-or-Treat-for-Toiletries,” a collection to replenish the needs of the area food pantries that are trying to meet the needs of families seriously effected by economic conditions.

Anyone visiting the the following libraries can simply drop such sundries as toothpaste, soaps, shampoos, lotions, tissues, q-tips, cotton balls, toilet tissue, and other personal care needs into the bins located at these locations.

  • Central Library (1919 W. 81st Avenue/US 30, Merrillville),
  • Cedar Lake Branch (10010 W. 133rd Ave.),
  • Dyer-Schererville Branch (1001 W. Lincoln Highway-US 30, Schererville),

How nice of you, Clair, to include the library donations at your web site. I saw a box at the Highland Library – -it had plenty of room for more donations.

  2. I posted this as a note on Facebook…I hope it brings in alot of items! Thanx for the info as I had no idea and want to help out anyway I can.
