HaddyGrace Designs is the creation of a stay-at-home mom of four children ranging in age from one to nine years old. Raised in a horse and buggy Mennonite Community, RuthAnn was taught to sew at a young age. She even started sewing all her own clothes at age 12.
She sent me her hooded sweater dress to try for our daughter Julia (who will be five next month). I was hoping to really like it but I must say the really like quickly turned to LOVE! The material is SUPER soft (think The North Face pullovers, but thicker). Julia LOVES the hood and dragonfly design. Her new favorite color is blue and this dress is just lovely. Plus as a mom it was SO refreshing to have something other than pink and uber-girly… gag me (Princess, hearts, flowers). Don’t get me wrong but I am a big fan of the nature but feminine vibe. And THIS hits a homerun!
Another great thing about HaddyGrace Designs (named for her daughter) is that every design is kid-tested on her children. So many designs from boutique-type places look adorable online but you get them home and the practical things go out the window (you can’t fit the head through the neck hole, it shreads when you wash it, it’s dry clean only… are you kidding me?, or the fit is all wrong). Not this stuff. SO cute, so wearable, so washable.
She also has a line of pocket diapers, pillowcase dresses and her SUPER cute fleece baby booties, which have gotten her on the hot lists on etsy treasures lately, not a small accomplishment in the least. I will DEFINTITELY be ordering some booties and boots for my three kids, and some extras for baby shower gifts!
