Frugal Feast: Meatloaf

Credit: The Marmot

When I was giving away some evaporated milk, a reader over on Facebook told me she loves to make her meatloaf with it. Here’s her recipe:

Depending on how many you’re feeding use:

1/2 pound ground pork
1 pound ground chuck
1 pkg lipton onion soup mix
Little green pepper and onion cut up(optional)
10 ritz crackers crumbled up
Little blk pepper

  1. Add evaporated milk until mixture comes together.
  2. Mix with hand.
  3. Form a meatloaf.
  4. Pour bbq sauce over top and about 2 cups of water on bottom of the pan you’re cooking it in.
  5. Bake on 350 about 35-40 mins.

  1. “Pour bbq sauce over top and about 2 cups of water on bottom of the pan you’re cooking it in.” HUH? What oes that mean?

    • You add a little BBQ sauce over the top of the meatloaf and make sure to add a little water to the pan you’re cooking the meatloaf in.
