Expired Coupons Help the Military

Now Jewel won’t take expired coupons, it’s a good idea to participate in the military’s coupon program as they do take expireds up to 2 months old. Here’s how:
  • There is no donation minimum so grab a stack and clip away.
  • They ask that you clip them as they only have volunteers who are already super busy. It’ll also save you postage.
  • Separate them into food and non-food.
  • Do not send Assistance Vouchers, Food Stamps, or any other assistance items. Store coupons, those only good at the store named are useless on a military base overseas. Do not send restaurant coupons.
  • Use envelopes or baggies to separate them, not paper clips or rubber bands.
  • Label them.
  • Add up the totals per bundle.
  • Send them to a participating base here.
If you don’t want all the work, why not grab some friends, or your Mom’s group and adopt a base together.

I LOVE this!! I have a lots of unused & expired coupons…and now they won't go to waste. Thanks!

  2. This is a great idea, do you know if they take internet printed coupons? Thanks!

  3. Thank you for this information. We love helping good causes, especially military related ones. I signed up to adopt a base as soon as I read about it and put our new company as a sponsor. I can’t wait to send in our first donation. I am going to make this a weekly thing on my to do list!

  4. I shop at a military commissary and they do not accept expired coupons. They have been denied on all occassions, regardless of expiration date. I’m not sure if this is military wide or just at my comissary. Maybe call first to double check your local bases policy on accepting these coupons. Otherwise it is a great idea.

  5. Im so glad I ran into this site! I am a military wife and we are a family of 6. We are living overseas in Okianwa Japan. I am despratly trying to recieve expired coupons! I also run a non-profit, short term child care in my home. So cutting back on our daily food bills would be a GREAT help!
I know that at our onbase stores, they will take coupons that are up to 6 months expired!
If anyone has any info on how I can start recieving coupons it would be a great help! Thank you!
