English Recipe Corner – Christmas Biscuits


Ok, so dismiss the idea in your mind that biscuits are salted flaky things that are great with cheese from Red Lobster and think “cookie”!!! Now to the recipe from my Mum:

CHRISTMAS BISCUITS

3 OZS FLOUR
1 OZ SUGAR
2 OZS MARGARINE

  1. Knead all ingredients together
  2. Roll out and use christmas shape cutters to cut
  3. Place on baking tray and prick top of biscuit
  4. Bake in oven at 180 degrees for 10 mins till browned but quite soft to touch
  5. Cool on wire tray
  6. When cooled decorate with red and green icing / marzipan shapes etc
