Week 3 of Shetland Islands recipes from my Mum!

TATTIE SOUP

Ingredients

3 pints stock from meat
2 onions
2 carrots
1 swede
8 oz cabbage
2 – 3 lbs potatoes

method
Dice all the vegetables and add to the stock
Add seasoning to taste
Simmer gently until veg is tender
Serve with bannocks and small pieces of meat
