So a while back I was looking for pumpkin desserts and then decided what better than a Crock Pot Pumpkin Dessert? Last week I blogged Crock Pot S’mores Cake and it got repinned quite a lot (thanks for that BTW!) So i’ve decided that everyone loves a good crock pot dessert so here we go.

Crock Pot Pumpkin Dessert

You may have made this pumpkin dessert before in a 9×13 but the slow cooker is just easier and you can leave it alone for a few hours. It’s soft and gooey pumpkin-y on the bottom and crispy on the top and boy oh boy did it smell good cooking! As my Husband came home that night he exclaimed how yummy it smelt and he doesn’t even like pumpkin but all that pumpkin spicey goodness made him want a piece!

We served it warm with cool whip but you can use cream and it’s the perfect coffee morning dessert which makes the crock pot the best! Wake up, add ingredients, have breakfast and take a shower and then voila………….Crock pot Pumpkin Dessert for Bible Study!

Crock Pot Pumpkin Dessert

    Bottom layer!
  • 29 oz pumpkin
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 13 oz evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • Top layer!
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 2 sticks butter

  1. * I used a big oval pot for this.
  2. Place foil in your slow cooker and spray the foil.
  3. Mix all ingredients in bottom layer and pour in the pot.
  4. Sprinkle the cake mix on top.
  5. Melt butter and pour over or cube and lay on top.
  6. Cook on low for 3 hours or until a toothpick comes out clean. It is soft on the bottom and crispy on top.
  7. Serve with cool whip.
  8. ** Optional to add chopped nuts on top of cake mix.
