Coffee Break

Coffee Break

I’m not very good at the whole patience thing and yet while Coffee Break has been an idea in my head for over a month, I’ve patiently waiting for today and here we go!

I spend a little bit lot of time on Pinterest and I’m not gonna lie: it’s pretty addictive to see pretty stuff and feel inspired to craft with my kids, bake an amazing cupcake or invent a new recipe. I’ve met some really cool Mums on there too as overwhelmingly women are on Pinterest more than men.

One day I was {up at the crack of dawn} having my devotions and coffee with the Lord and God birthed an idea in me for a space on Pinterest for Moms to come and get refreshed through the Bible and real life teaching from other Moms. I get it, you don’t have 10 hours to study and some of you are sneaking your laptop into the bathroom for a moment of peace and quiet in the chaos {oh wait, is that just me?} Therefore myself and 5 other Moms have got together and are pinning some of the devotions we’ve written in one spot on Pinterest called Coffee Break.

We’re all Moms and we get it. Between us there’s not much we haven’t gone through from Christen’s NICU experiences to Brooke’s Boys, Lisa-Jo’s moving from her homeland, Monica raising Pastor’s kids, Amanda’s weird talent (she can take any old random thing and give it a spiritual application!) and my dealing with a very active, strong-willed kiddo.

Coffee Break is a way for us to virtually enter your living room, pour you a cup of coffee and let you exhale. We want to be tools to reach broken families, guilt ridden hearts and struggling housewives.

So pull up a chair, pour yourself a cup or something warm, sneak your iPad into the bathroom and do whatever you have to do to join us on Pinterest for words of encouragement just for a Mom’s Heart from a Mom’s Heart.

Coffee Break Contributors.

Clair Boone

When Clair came to America in 1998 for a 3 month internship little did she know that she’d meet the man of her dreams, settle down in Chicago and leave England behind. Years later she’s now Tim’s wife, Isaac & Chase’s Mummy, a reluctant housewife, hater of laundry and lover of baking. Having spent 3 years in Thailand as a missionary she can authoritatively say that Motherhood is the hardest and most rewarding experience. Clair’s passions include helping other Mums save money and speaking to women about her first love: Jesus Christ. Find her blogging daily at Mummy Deals or online where her favorite hangouts are Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter.

She lives in the mountains of Western North Carolina in a town with two stoplights, and plans trips to The Big City where she can visit Target and get fresh highlights. Her husband Greg is an Assistant Pastor and her kids (Jaana, 9 and Paxton, 3) are cute and sweet and stinkin' hilarious. She loves reading, coffee, writing, coffee and spending quality time with her family. And coffee. She avoids anything domestic-cooking-cleaning-related whenever possible (without success).

She writes daily-ish at www.ElevateIdeas.com. You can also find her on Facebook and on Twitter (@elevateideas).
