Charity Challenge: I Need Boy’s Clothes For Giveaway

Welcome to Charity Challenge 2012! Last year we filled a trunk of goodies and sent them to Joplin, MO right after the storms. We packed 700 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. We gave tons and tons to food pantries and we helped support local families in need.

We did that. You, me and other readers. Thank you! This year we’re changing it up a little and each month I’ll highlight some very real needs of people in and around Northwest Indiana/Chicagoland. I’m partnering with my church, Faith Church Hammond and the work they do there.

This week I’m in search of boys spring/summer clothes age 4T – 12. My church is going to have a free rummage sale for low income families in Hammond. Before you take it to the thrift store, can you email me instead and we’ll arrange to meet? Email mummydeals at yahoo.

If you don’t live locally may I suggest asking a local church if they’ll take clothes for the community that way you can join our challenge?

If you’re in NWI or South Chicagoland, you can drop it off at one of these spots. I am looking for more IL businesses to be a drop off so contact me if you know of one. Also: Feel free to drop off any couponed/great items you think we can donate!

Head on over to our Facebook event page and let us know how you did. We’d be really encouraged by stories or ideas
