Baskin-Robbins 31 Cent Night Supports National Fallen Fire Fighters 4/27/11

Each year Baskin-Robbins does a 31 cent night to support the National Fallen Fire Fighters Foundation (NFFF) and as I love supporting great causes I thought I’d let ya know! During 31 Cent Scoop Night on Wednesday, April 27th from 5:00 -10:00 p.m. you can get 2.5 oz. ice cream scoops for 31 cents in any flavor.

For the first time this year, during the 5th annual event the April Flavor of the Month is Firehouse #31. This new ice cream treat is the perfect blend of hot and cold – a crunchy atomic fireball ribbon laced throughout with hot cinnamon and packed with red hot candy pieces in cold vanilla ice cream.

For the first time, Baskin-Robbins ‘ is also offering consumers the chance to help support the NFFF as well by texting in a donation. Consumers can text 6333 (NFFF) to 50555 to make a $5 donation.

My friend Jen’s husband is a volunteer firefighter in Highland, IN and had this to say:

” Not only will you enjoy 31 cent scoops of ice cream, but Baskin Robbins will also donate $100,000 to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. This foundation helps the families of firefighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Come join the Highland Fire Department at the Highland Baskin Robbins / Dunkin Donuts located at 9228 Indianapolis Boulevard. Highland Fire Department will have fire trucks and firemen in the parking lot. Children and adults can see up close the equipment used by their local fire department. There will a fire boot out for local donations. Proceeds from this boot drive (along with proceeds from the boot drive at the Highland Fire Department Open house) are used for our “Shop with a Fireman Fund”. Due to the generosity last year we raised enough money to take 7 children shopping. We picked each child up in a fire truck and they were able to spend over $100 on gifts for themselves. They received presents that they would not have otherwise received that Christmas. The fire department was also able to make a donation to the Northwest Indiana Salvation Army”
