Stacie sent me this great recipe but you’ve got to head over to her blog for Pizza on the Grill. Wowsers, that sounds good! Thanks heaps, Stacie!
My husband and I love making homemade pizza. It’s not unlikely that it shows up on our dinner table once a week. It can be time consuming to make, but if you start out with store bought pizza crust and sauce, it’s not so bad.
This week Meijer has some great deals on pizza ingredients, so that’s what were going to whip up this week for our bargain meal! The only problem, no mozzarella cheese on sale…hopefully you stocked up from previous sales on brick or shredded mozzarella cheese.
Below are directions on how to make pizza on a stone or pizza pan in your oven, but if you’re up for a challenge, check out my post for Pizza on the Grill! (You can also find my homemade pizza sauce recipe there.)
Meijer Pizza Crust – (10 for $10) – $1
Meijer Pasta sauce – (10 for $10) – $1
Meijer Organic Mushrooms – (10 for $10) – $1
Armour Slice Pepperoni – (10 for $10) – $1
8 oz (1/2 pkg) Jimmy Dean Sausage Roll – $1.10
Other toppings of your choice
- Prepare pizza dough as directed on the package. Spread sauce over dough. Top with pizza toppings of your choice and finish it off with cheese.
- Bake in a 400-450 degree oven on a baking stone or pizza pan for 10-15 minutes until bubbly and starting to brown.
