2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 (7 ounce) package fideo pasta .33 cents
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
3 Garlic cloves, minced – $.20
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce – $.50
¼ cup of chopped onion – $.20
3 cups of Chicken stock – $.50
1. Heat oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the fideo, and fry until lightly browned. Add onion and garlic. Fry it up till the onion is carmelized. Add tomato sauce, and 3 cups of the chicken stock. Add black pepper and stir to blend. Bring to a boil.
2. Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, or until the fideo is tender, and the sauce has thickened.
Chicken Flautas – $6.65 for 6 people.
2 pounds split chicken breast ($1.29 (x2)lb)
1 sm. onion, chopped – $.50
1 small diced tomato – $.25
1 or 2 pkgs. flour tortillas – $1
Sour cream – $1
Salsa – $1.50

- Boil chicken until cooked. Debone and place chicken in skillet. Simmer on low. Add a little chicken broth to simmer in. Add onions, salt, tomato, and pepper; let simmer until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Turn off and let set while making flautas.
- Flour tortillas must be soft so warm them on the stove of in the microwave. Fill each flour tortilla with chicken mixture.
