10 Ways to Slash Your Grocery Bill Part VIII

It’s that time of year again where all we seem to eat is apples. That’s because around here strawberries are around $3# during the winter and I can’t stand spending that on fruit. I budget around $1# for fruit….unless I have a craving for chocolate covered strawberries!!

Here’s how you can get the most out of the Series:

  • If you’re not already subscribed to my feed or email you can do that for RSS feed here or a daily (spam-free) email update. That way you won’t miss a tip.
  • Tell a friend or two about it. Feel free to take the button above and place it on your own blog directing people to the series.
  • Feel free to broadcast the video all over Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or wherever so that other people will be helped too.
  • If you have a moment please vote for my video over on YouTube so that it gets maximum exposure.

Immediately following the series we’ll be having a party to celebrate around here and I’ve arranged for 10 Days of Giveaways to follow the 10 Steps. This summer I bought some local strawberries and froze them. Then Aldi had a crazy sale on strawberries so I bought a ton of those and froze those too! I try to buy the fruit when it's cheap and in season and freeze or can it so we have yummy fruit all year long!

    love your videos!

  2. Clair,

Thank you so much for this blog series! I've been trying to cut our grocery bill for several months now – these tips were great! Thanks for taking the time to make these videos! 🙂 I'll be keeping an eye on your blog and going to Family Dollar for Operation Christmas Child gifts (I LOVE that organization!).

    Thanks again!
