Why All Natural Crock pot Strawberry Jam
It’s strawberry season and last week me and the kiddos went with a dear friend strawberry picking. We had heard of a farm that had organic strawberries for just $1 a pound if you picked them. $1 a pound?! This frugal girl was giddy! We both walked away with about 11 pounds and after I froze a bunch of them for smoothies I put some in the fridge to nibble on but then I realized: I’d never made strawberry jam and it was time to try. Here’s the problem: jams have tons of sugar. As in tons of white sugar and as that’s a thing we’re really trying to avoid around here I decided to search a little further for a natural recipe. I found one and althought they made it on the stove I added mine to the crock pot this morning.
So this is weird…I don’t usually share a recipe without trying it but I will be back to update this post with pictures after it’s cooked. But here’s a reipe for all natural Crock pot Strawberry Jam.
